Khanjar el Alawi (Dagger of Light)
Curved Malakim dagger that shines with bright light
This curved Malakim knife is a mystical Khanjar el Alawi, or dagger of light. These knives are dedicated to Il Ashaari and infused with the divine sun and law, wielded by the elite Mubarizun champions of the Malakim armies. The dagger has a bronze blade etched with the Surat Ash-Shams, a poem to the sun. The blade shines bright light in a 60-foot radius when drawn. The wielder cannot suppress this light, though it can be temporarily suppressed by any effect that can suppress daylight. The dagger flashes with light, and on a critical hit, the target is blinded until the beginning of the wielder’s next turn (DC 14 Wisdom save negates).
The dagger of light thirsts for the blood of chaotic creatures. A chaotic creature that wields the dagger has disadvantage on all attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. The dagger grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls, and deals an additional 3 (1d6) damage against the undead or creatures of chaos. On a hit, the target must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 14) or a shard of light embeds in their flesh, dealing 3 (1d6) damage each round. A successful saving throw will allow the target to remove the shard.
